Thanks Tony, Yes Preston tries to keep the costs down and I think we are doing a good job at it. It helps when the events we run are well supported. The more riders enter the cheaper we can make it for everyone.

J.O. is correct.
The cost of  entering the support classes at these events, is now far too high and the "customer service" aspect, does need an over haul.  Hope all support J.O., with a protest.
BTW Francis, PMCC has a social secretary, these days, as per the elections at the last AGM!

Please note the Sidecar Introduction Day date has changed to 12/12/10 due to the last round of the Australian Sidecar Championships being held the weekend before at Phillip Island with the 6 Hour.
A BBQ lunch & refreshments are supplied. Get in quick as there is a limit on numbers.
You can download an entry from the SCRCV website

The reason Roadrace cost so much is not because who runs it but because of the high costs of track hire. I'm sure speedway don't pay $25,000 track hire for a weekend no matter what level of racing.

And there are many other costs that other forms of racing don't incure, too many to list. For example the PI round of the Vic Titles cost over $50,000 to run. I would doubt that many speedway events even at the highest level in Australia would cost that much. And they would attract a crowd to pay for the costs anyway. The Vic Titles would be luck to get 500 spectators and at $10 a head that only $5000, one tenth the cost of staging the event.
