Big changes are afoot for 2010.

We are looking for sponsors to partner MV & Preston MCC in 2010.

We print professional race programmes  for each round and posters featuring sponsors logo's. Posters will be going out to all riders to put up in their area. And much much more.

With big changes like:-
-more cross entries, more races for most riders (for almost every type of machinery).
-reduced entry fees.
-easier entry, available from more web sites and Friday practice on entry form.
-better promotion through series posters, race programmes, magazine adverts & closer ties with sponsors.
-larger race fields in every class meaning better competition.
-special handicap race giving riders every chance of success. At the Broadford round of the series we will run a handicap race based on the weekends lap times. This will give every and any rider the chance of starring.

Please download the letter below which explains the sponsorship opportunities.

This looks like a very good start to the use of new ideas, I hope it generates more ideas from members as well.

Well done Preston.

But I dont think you will have much to offer a sponsor at this stage.
Have you thought of offering racers a discount on tickets to sell to their mates, that way you get spectators and they get a reduction in racing costs from thev discount.

RACE SPONSORS
We are looking for sponsors for all the classes. You can sponsor a single round or the entire series. All race sponsors get a free 1/3 page advert in the RACE PROGRAMMES. We have packages available from as little as $100 and remember every little bit helps, nothing is too small.

SERIES NAMING RIGHTS
Also the naming rights to the series is available. This would get your business name on every poster, advert, entry form, timing sheet, calendars, web site, TROPHIES & another media we put out. As well as special opportunities to promote your business during the series at each event.

RACE PROGRAMMES
As well as race sponsors we are selling adverts in the RACE PROGRAMMES available from a very affordable price.

FEATURE RACE SPONSOR
At each round there is a feature race. At round 1 it will be a Handicap race. Last year we had the great support of Peterstevens MC's for the the C Grade Challenge. They made available a great package of product and a racing account.

SHORT ON MONEY
Money isn't the only way you can support the series, many sponsors provide products from their business and this can sometimes be better for both parties.

So if you are thinking of supporting the series give Francis a call on 0413 622079 or email prestonmcc@optusnet.com.au and we can discuss a package to suit you.

Francis,
the way MV operates at the moment you are wasting your time, regardless with you being on their executive comitee or not. By now you would have recieved my correspondance regarding the loss of sponsorship, because MV could not get their act together and issue an Entrants licence in time. To remind you, they not only cost me personally $5000.00 in personal sponsorship but also Preston Motorcycle Club the potential of a series sponsorship. If I sound totally pissed off ...... I AM.
YOU ......The CEO and the General Manager of MV have not had  the courtesy of giving me a reply, considering I sent all three of you the same letter.
It is about time someone stood up and said we srewed up. As for all you guys or gals who want to know more on how MV is stuffing up our sport, then post your question and I will be more than happy to fill you in on the politics of paying for a service that has the advantage of being the only provider.

thasn happy to give you a reply.

Hi Martin

I too have had huge problems with contacting the MV office in the week leading up to the round 1 of the Vic Titles. You are not alone, as many riders were in the same boat trying to get licences renewed.
The General manager has now left MV.

The MV executive is very much aware of the problems and are doing everything in their power to address the short comings of the office over this period. This not an excuse for what has happened to you.

No-one would try to hamper your efforts in getting sponsorship, but this was out of their control. I am personal very sorry you were caught up in this issue. Remember we are all voluntineers trying our best and we were unaware of the problems until it was too late.

Francis
I am fully aware that the Preston Motorcycle Club is run very well through the assistance of volunteers. But is not only me that your apology should be directed to. It is all members who roadrace for it is they too that have lost out with the potential of a series support.
Hopefully by now you have read my correspondance that I sent to MV and yourself. As a reminder, it contained a letter of disatisfaction, a copy of my once sponsors acceptance and an invoice of compensation for the loss of my own sponsorship. As I said in my previous posting, none have been replied to. MV I presume is not run by volunteers, though if it were, their problems would be very short lived. But those I am not interested in. Because of MV my racing this year will be limited and I will keep submitting my invoice untill someone takes responsability for the position they hold.
Meanwhile as President of the Preston Motorcycle Club and correct me if I am wrong, on the Executive Commitee of MV, then I feel it is time to stand up and represent the riders of your club, or co-ordinate with other Victorian clubs to get the MV issues sorted. Remember, MV has cost me a start up sponsorship of $5,000. Knowing the history of the company that was going to back me, I hate to guess what it has cost you, the club and the riders.
I hope I have made myself clear as to how I feel. But I will add that no insult is intended to you and I hope none was taken. If of course you would like to discuss this matter further, privately, then let me know.

Hi Martin

I am unaware of your letter to the Executive, I can't remember it being discussed at a meeting. I suggest you address it again to the executive and I will personally ask the questions you need answering.

You are right the MV office is not staffed by voluntineers but the Executive is, and they control MV.
